Fuel Cost Calculator

Just follow the steps below to calculate your current fuel costs, and to show you how much you could save by converting to corn as your heating fuel.

Note: Corn burns at 8500 Btus per pound and Pellets burn at 7800 Btus per pound. These values were used in this calculation. Also this calculation does not include utility tarrifs, delivery and surcharge fees listed on you bill.

Step 1

Select your current fuel type

 Oil
 Electricity
 Gas
 Pellets

Step 2

Enter the amount of fuel you use in a given time, in Gallons KWHs Therms or Bags.

Example, for 200 gallon's enter just 200.

Number value only

the type of fuel.

Step 3

Enter your cost in dollars per unit from Step 2. If your not sure, a local NY default value has been entered.

Enter your cost per 50 lb bag of corn.
Again in dollars & cents.
